This is one of the regional network centers in China Education and Research Network(CERNET) . It connects campus networks in Jiangsu, Anhui and Shangdong provinces to CERNET backbone, part of INTERNET, by means of DDN, X.25, frame relay and PSTN.

The center locates in Southeast University , Nanjing. The center consists of Network Operation Center(NOC), Network Information Center(NIC) and Technical Promotion Office(TPO).

NOC bears all responsibilities for operating management of the regional network and keeps all equipment and communication lines working well. NOC also provides technical supports for communicating and routing for a campus network within the region.

NIC is in charge of managing the usage of IP addresses and domain names in the regional network., and maintains all software systems and information resources running in the center, NIC also answers regional users' questions in the field of technique and management when they join the network.

TPO is responsible for all kind of training, developing and international cooperating.

Many network services are provided by the regional center, including WWW, FTP, Gopher, WAIS , WHOIS , E-mail relay and NEWS , especially some interesting Chinese culture WWW information is available there. Users can surf around the information world of CERNET and INTERNET with the services supplied by these servers.
